Since receiving a standing ovation during his 2001 debut at the Grand Ole Opry, Josh Turner has established a firm place in the country music scene. Known for his deep soulful voice (Blender magazine called him the “country Barry White”), Josh Turner has established himself as one of the most well known male country artists. Josh Turner’s latest single, “I Wouldn’t Be a Man” is from his fourth studio album Haywire. Other songs from his fourth album include five songs co-written by Turner, “Haywire”, “As Fast As I Could”, “Eye Candy”, “Friday Paycheck”, and “The Answer”. Josh is known for some of his popular songs such as “Long Black Train”, “Why Don’t We Just Dance”, and “Would You Go With Me”.

Opening the concert is up and coming country band, The Band Perry comprised of siblings Kimberly, Reid, and Neil Perry. Their music reflects a love that runs deep for rock & roll and country music, Kimberly Perry says “Daddy rocked us to sleep with the Rolling Stones; Mama woke us up with Loretta Lynn. So we get it honest.” The self-titled album, The Band Perry, includes their hit single “If I Die Young”.

Tickets for the Josh Turner with The Band Perry concert go on sale Friday February 18 at 10:00 AM on www.DelawareStateFair.com. Tickets can still be purchased for previously announced concerts, Big Time Rush and Toby Keith with Eric Church. More artists in the 2011 Wilmington Trust Grandstand Concert Series will be announced in the coming weeks.
