The Delaware State Fair is proud to announce the latest artist in the 2011 Wilmington Trust Grandstand Concert Series. Alan Jackson with special guest Craig Campbell will be closing out the fair on Saturday July 30, 2011. Tickets go on sale Friday March 4 at 10:00 AM on www.DelawareStateFair.com. Ticket prices are $55 for track and stadium and $50 for grandstand and clubhouse seats (ticket price includes the online purchase handling fee).
Alan Jackson has been making number one hits since 1990 and has recently compiled the songs onto an album, 34 Number Ones. Alan has since been featured on another number hit in the single “As She’s Walking Away”, by Zac Brown Band. Over the course of his career, Aland Jackson has sold more than 50 million albums and continues to top the country charts after more than twenty years.
Some of Alan Jackson’s most well-known hits include, “Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)”, his duet with Jimmy Buffett “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere”, and “Gone Country”.
Opening artist and newcomer Craig Campbell began as a songwriter and perfected his craft laying in bands backing Luke Bryan and Tracy Byrd. Craig Campbell is also well known for his work with Alan Jackson and Zac Brown Band. The album Five Spots features five songs from Craig Campbell, “When I Get It”, “My Little Cowboy”, “I Bought It”, “Chillaxin’”, and his new single “Family Man”.
