We are still working on an opening act for Jason so stay tuned for more details”, says Danny Aguilar, Assistant General Manager and Director of Marketing.

New in 2012, the Delaware State Fair has developed a new orchestra pit section that brings the fan closer to the artist than ever before. The “pit” section is located just feet away from the stage and will be a general admission, standing room only (with no chairs) section. Due to the limited number of tickets available for this area, make sure you sign up for our email list for updates and opportunities to purchase tickets in advance. The “pit” is general admission standing room only (with no chairs) and tickets are priced at $94. All other tickets (track, stadium, grandstand and clubhouse) will be reserved seating with chairs. Concert attendance does require the purchase of a separate gate admission ticket.

The Delaware State Fair is excited to have Jason Aldean return back to Delaware for another amazing concert. For anyone looking to brand Jason Aldean as part of a significant musical movement, good luck. There’s a lot about the singer that’s become familiar during his five years as a country hitmaker, after all, he has spent more weeks at No. one on the radio charts than any other country artist in the last 12 months. But none of what he does comes out quite like anyone else. The blues-tinged licks at the end of his phrases—there’s a ring of familiarity about them, but you can’t really link them to another artist. The smoky guitar riffs that have become a signature—they’re built on sounds that have come before, but they don’t really belong to anyone else in the country genre, either. The small-town themes that pervade many of his songs—that’s all been done before, but not quite with the unwavering honesty that Aldean applies to the subject.

The 2012 Delaware State Fair will be held July 19 – 28. Other artists in the Delaware State Fair Summer Concert Series will be announced in the coming months as each artist is confirmed.
