MID-DEL CHARITABLE FOUNDATION AWARDS GRANTS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Mid-Del Charitable Foundation awarded 21 organizations with financial grants on Wednesday, December 15. The Mid-Del Charitable Foundation's mission is to consolidate the charitable undertakings of Delaware State Fair, Inc. and Harrington Raceway, Inc., with an emphasis on supporting organizations and activities involving agricultural, civic and social needs existing in the State of Delaware and such other charitable, educational and scientific endeavors as the governing body deems appropriate.
The Foundation conducts one annual grant-making cycle in September, ending August 31, and presents awards in December. The Foundation supports organizations and charitable, educational and scientific endeavors which address the wide range of needs that include, but are not limited to, health and human services, arts, agriculture, education and environment. This year, the Mid-Del Charitable Foundation awarded the following organizations: Center for Therapeutic & Educational Riding, Inc.; Delaware 4-H Foundation, Inc.; Delaware Agricultural Museum and Village; Delaware Ducks Unlimited Greenwing Event; Delaware Holstein Association; Friends of the Capitol Theatre Consortium; Friends of the Harrington Public Library; Harrington Fire Company, Inc.; Harrington Parks & Recreation; Harrington Police Department; Harrington Sunshine 4-H Club; House of Pride, Inc.; Kent Conservation District; Lake Forest World Language & Drama Departments; Milford Rotary Club; Milford School District; Read Aloud Delaware; Rehoboth Art League; The Children's Theatre, Inc.; The Delaware FFA Foundation; and Whatcoat Social Service Agency.
For any organization interested in applying for 2005 consideration, proposals must be submitted on a Mid-Del Charitable Foundation grant application form which will be available in the spring. ###
