DELAWARE STATE FAIR ONLINE TICKET SALES RESCHEDULED

HARRINGTON, DE - May 7, 2007

The Delaware State Fair has rescheduled its online ticket sales to begin on Wednesday May 9^th at 9:00 am.  “We apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused our customers.  We have spent the last 72 hours testing a new online ticketing process during which we had discovered specific issues left to be resolved.  As a result, we did not feel comfortable making any tickets available this morning,” says Danny Aguilar, the Delaware State Fair’s Marketing and Publicity Director.

Fair officials noted that this morning’s problem was unrelated to any server capacity issues.  “As we look to improve our ticketing technology, we will strive to make buying tickets to the Fair a positive experience.  We simply did not feel everything was in place, so we had to make a very difficult decision to postpone ticket sales.  Our local internet information provider, Inclind, Inc. was not responsible for online ticket sales,” says Aguilar. 

Fair employees will continue testing its new online ticketing service over the next 24 hours to further identify and correct any potential problems.  The Fair is excited to launch its 2007 Wilmington Grand Trust Stand lineup on Wednesday and encourages any customers to call if they have any questions, at 302-398-5020 or visit our web site at www.delawarestatefair.com.  In the meantime, no tickets are being sold.
