MID-DEL CHARITABLE FOUNDATION SEEKS NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS' GRANT APPLICANTS; Application Deadline is August 31, 2005

The application deadline is quickly approaching for non-profit organizations to be considered as Mid-Del Charitable Foundation grant recipients.
The Mid-Del Charitable Foundation, established to consolidate the charitable undertakings of the Delaware State Fair and Harrington Raceway, is an endeavor to support organizations/activities involving Delaware's agricultural, civic and social needs. According to the foundation's secretary, Dennis Hazzard, "The foundation supports charitable, educational and scientific endeavors which address, but are not limited to, health and human services, arts, agriculture, education and the environment."
According to Hazzard, applicants must serve Delaware and its residents without discrimination based on race, religion, gender, age or national origin. The Mid-Del Charitable Foundation does not generally offer grants for religious activities, lobbying or any other activity of a political nature, individuals, travel expenses, capital projects or administrative expenses.
Proposals must be submitted on a Mid-Del Charitable Foundation grant application form. Upon receipt, staff evaluates the information for conformity and accuracy. Qualified proposals are presented to the Board for consideration. Applicants will be notified within 90 days as to the acceptability of a proposal. Initial acceptance of an application does not guarantee funding.
