MID-DEL CHARITABLE FOUNDATION AWARDS 2005 GRANTS TO DELAWARE ORGANIZATIONS

Howell F. Wallace, President of the Mid-Del Charitable Foundation, along with presiding officers and directors, presented 21 Delaware organizations with financial grants on Wednesday evening. The Mid-Del Charitable Foundation was developed to consolidate the charitable contributions of Delaware State Fair, Inc. and Harrington Raceway, Inc.
Each year, the Mid-Del Charitable Foundation conducts one grant-issuing cycle, ending August 31, and presents awards the following December. The foundation supports Delaware-based organizations and charitable, educational and scientific endeavors which address the wide range of issues, including: health and human services, the arts, agriculture, education, and the environment.
This year, the Mid-Del Charitable Foundation awarded financial grants to the following organizations: Boys & Girls Club of Delaware (Greater Milford), Milford; The Center for Therapeutic & Educational Riding, Townsend; Delaware Agricultural Museum & Village, Dover; Delaware 4-H Foundation, Inc., Newark; Delaware Holstein Association, Hartly; Delaware Hospice, Inc., Wilmington; Delaware Stars Youth Ice Hockey Association, Harrington; Delaware Wing, Civil Air Patrol, Wilmington; Harrington Fire Company, Inc., Harrington; City of Harrington Police Department, Harrington; Friends of the Harrington Public Library, Harrington; Harrington Recreation Department, Harrington; Harrington Senior Center, Inc., Harrington; Harrington Sunshine 4-H Club, Harrington; House of Pride, Inc., Dover; Milford Rotary Club, Milford; Milford Senior Center, Milford; New Castle County 4-H/Smyrna FFA, Smyrna; Santa's Workshop/"Bookaneers", Milford; Seaford District Library, Seaford; and Southern Delaware Academy of Lifelong Learning, Lewes.
