HARRINGTON, DE - July 24, 2006

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Fair officials reported on Monday they had received word from Mick Jones and members of Foreigner that the band would be unable to perform at the Delaware State Fair on Tuesday, July 26 due to an unexpected medical issue.

In a letter from the band, they thanked all of their fans and friends for the support shown thus far for the show and apologized for any inconveniences. In an effort to provide the same caliber of show, the band 38 Special, whose members are friends of Foreigner, agreed to stand-in.

According to the fair’s general manager, Dennis Hazzard, “It is unfortunate for fans of Foreigner that they will be unable to hear the band; however, given the unexpected nature of the situation, we have worked swiftly to offer what we feel is an equal level of entertainment.” Hazzard noted that Tuesday night’s line-up would begin with a local opening band, Scrapple, followed by 38 Special while Peter Frampton would close the show.

Hazzard noted that he hoped fans would support the show but offered that due to the nature of the incident requests for refund would be considered only for those who chose not to attend the show. Requests for refunds should be mailed to Delaware State Fair, Inc., Attn: Ticket Refund Request, P.O. Box 28, Harrington, DE 19952. Requests must be received by the fair office by August 25, 2006.

On-going details will be made available on the fair’s website at www.delawarestatefair.com. For more details, please feel free to contact the fair's ticket office at (302) 398-5020 or (866) 335-3247.###
