Carnival Ride Reviews

From the Delaware State Fair Media Center Ride Team.  
Students from Poly Tech High School Students were asked 
to review the rides offered on the Carnival Midawy.    
Here's what they came up with!

 

 RC48

 The newest addition to The Delaware State Fair Midway will surely be your new favorite. RC-48 is the most exciting, head jerking roller coaster out here. This fast ride will definitely have you screaming and clenching to your seat. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to ride the largest traveling roller coaster in North America.

 

Ring of Fire

This ride will take you in a complete circle. You go around six times forward and six times backward. It stopped at the top to give a good upside down view of the fair. The Ring of Fire was a total blood rush to the head. Even though it takes you upside down, you still feel safe and secure the whole time.

 

Space Roller

This ride was very exciting; first it took you up 35 feet in the air while rocking you back and forth and added a spinning motion. If you have a weak stomach, you will walk away from this ride feeling sick. Space Roller was very good but the ride was over before you knew it. One of the Space Roller operators said it’s probably the safest ride here.

 

Hit in 2000

If you liked “The Himalaya” last year, you’ll love this ride! The “Hit in 2000” is so fast it will make you squish to the side of the seats, no matter how hard you try to hold on.

 

Zipper

You don’t have to worry about falling out of this ride, because it keeps you fully enclosed in a cage-like seat. The “Zipper” is a long lasting ride that rocks you back and forth, eventually flipping you in a 360 degree motion.

 

Ferris Wheel

If you’re looking to enjoy a peaceful ride with the family then the Ferris Wheel would be it. This ride takes you to the highest elevation in southern Delaware, giving you the best view of the fair and what they have to offer.

 

White Water

Everyone looks forward to a water ride in the heat of the summer. The “White Water” log flume can be fun for just about anyone. It is the best way to get cooled off if you’re willing to get a little wet. In the beginning you go down a little slope to get your adrenaline pumping. Then you go full speed down the big slope and it splashes you completely with water while taking a memorable snapshot that you can purchase later.

 

Gravitron

Are you looking for a fun exciting ride with an awesome effect? Then the Gravitron is the perfect ride for you. It’s a very exciting ride that has you pinned to the wall!

The ride does a very good job of creating a high gravity effect. The force lifts you off the ground, it makes you nearly unable to move.

 

  

Cliff Dive

If you’re looking for a cool and relaxing ride, this is a good pick. It’s been here for many years, the cliff dive lifts you into the air making you feel like you’re flying. It’s just a smooth and relaxing ride that leaves you with a thrill and a smile on your face.

 

Alpine Bobs

Much like the Hit in 2000, this ride rocks you back and forth while going up and down a hill, spinning you forward and backward. But don’t let this ride fool you, it moves, swinging you out in almost a 90-degree angle. It’s a family-friendly ride that anyone will love

 

Tilt-a-Whirl

This ride is a rocking good time. A tried and true trooper for many years at the Delaware State Fair. You know what happens. It jolts your body up and down, while spinning on a fixed axis that violently spins you in a circle. This ride leaves you happy, but just a little dizzy.
