Birthing Center

During the last three (3) days of the Fair, there is a possibility of several animals that may be ready to give birth.

Through the joint efforts of the Delaware State Fair Special Events Coordinator and a staff of qualified veterinarians, a step-by-step overview is provided for spectators as they watch the miracle of birth happen right before their eyes. Spectators may also watch on TV monitors, the live births, as they happen.

In the past, Fair patrons have had the privilege and pleasure to watch calves, pigs and even some lambs being brought into the world. This is truly an amazing sight and one that everyone needs to see - at least once.

The Birthing Center is located in the Schabinger Pavilion and when the delivery time is near an announcement will be made over the Fairgrounds PA system.
