Delaware State Fair

  The Delaware State Fair is sorry to have to announce that the July 28^th Selena Gomez Performance has been cancelled due to strained vocal chords.  Gomez’s physician has ordered her to vocal rest and no traveling on airplanes for the next week.  Gomez says:  “I am extremely disappointed to cancel these shows.  My fans mean the world to me and I was so excited to perform for them.”

 1. ALL CREDIT CARD PURCHASES: If you purchased your tickets directly from The Delaware State Fair either on-line, in person or through our telephone call center using a credit card, you will receive a refund of the face value of the tickets, the convenience charge and in some cases the mailing fees. Your refund will be processed automatically to the credit card used at the time of purchase within the next two days. This refund will appear on your next credit card statement depending on your billing cycle. There is no need to return your tickets or to do anything further to obtain your refund. 

 2. IN-PERSON CASH OR CHECK PURCHASES: If you purchased your tickets in person at our box office and paid by cash or check, you will need to complete the attached Refund Claim Form and return it to us TOGETHER with all of your original tickets.  For further information regarding the refund process, or to obtain a copy of the refund claim form, please visit our website at www.delawarestatefair.com. Alternatively, the completed form and your original tickets can be dropped off at the box office located on the plaza. A refund check in the amount of the face value of the tickets plus all associated convenience and mailing fees will be mailed to you on or before August 15, 2010.

3. DIRECTORS, PREFERRED SEAT AND SEASON TICKET HOLDERS: Depending upon your method of payment, either a credit will be posted to your credit card used at the time of initial purchase or a refund check will be mailed to you. There is no need to return your tickets or to do anything further to obtain your refund. 

In place of Selena Gomez, All Star Weekend will be performing a FREE CONCERT in the Wilmington Trust Grandstand beginning 7:30 PM Wednesday July 28^th. No ticket is required for admission and you are invited to attend the free concert with all your friends and family members. We realize that almost 8,000 fans from this area had plans to see Selena perform, so please come to the fair on Wednesday night and enjoy the free concert by All Star Weekend. We are also offering unlimited rides starting at 6PM Wednesday night for only $16 when purchased on the carnival lot.

NOTE:  Orders must be received in our Administrative Office NO LATER THAN 5:00 pm on August 15, 2010 in order for the refund to be processed.
