Ticketing Policy

You may purchase a maximum of 8 tickets per show. This is determined by reference to your name, your company name, your credit card number and billing or email address. Violators will have their excessive purchases automatically cancelled and refunded to the credit card used without any further contact. Tickets for M&T Bank Grandstand events and gate admission are non-refundable. In the event of a show cancellation where M&T Bank Grandstand Tickets are refunded, Gate Admission tickets will not be refunded. Customers are not required to purchase Gate Admission at the time of purchasing Grandstand Event Tickets. Questions should be directed to the Delaware State Fair Box Office (302) 398-5020. ALLOW FOR ENOUGH TIME: Those heading into the event area will need to go through a security screening which will include getting your bags checked, please consider this as you plan your arrival time. The following items are prohibited in the event area: · Professional Cameras, Audio/Video Recorders, iPads, Go-Pro’s or Selfie Sticks · Laser Pointers, Glow Sticks or Flash Lights · Knives, Tasers, Mace or Weapons of any kind (including toy ones) · Cans, Bottles (Glass, Aluminum or Plastic) · Spiked Jewelry, Spiked Belts or Wallet Chains · Poster boards and Signs CANNOT be larger than 2’ X 2’

Inclement Weather Policy

Please be aware that all shows including concerts, rodeo and demo derby performances in the M&T Bank Grandstand are held rain or shine. Please be aware that umbrellas are not allowed. The pit, track, and bleacher/stadium seating areas are not covered. The grandstand and club house seating areas are the only areas that are covered. Only dangerous weather conditions at show time will delay a show or cause it to be cancelled. Severe weather at show time could cause a show to be delayed. All delay or cancellation announcements will be posted to the homepage of the website.

Accessible Seating

Guest using wheelchairs may enter by way of track or M&T Bank Grandstand entrances. For further information, call (302) 398-5020.

Admission to the Fair

Everyone entering the fairgrounds must present a valid ticket of admission, including those attending Grandstand concerts. Concert tickets do not include admission to the fair.

Cameras and Recording Devices

Still photography, audio, video, unauthorized drones, or any professional recording equipment is not allowed in the Grandstand.

Drones

To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all fair visitors, the Delaware State Fair prohibits unauthorized operation or use of any unmanned aerial vehicle on or above the Delaware State Fairgrounds. This includes all UAVs, commonly known as “drones,” regardless of commercial or recreational purpose. Any UAV(s) observed at or near the Delaware State Fairgrounds will be reported to local law enforcement and the Federal Aviation Administration.

ATMS

ATM’s are located throughout the grounds.

Food, Drink and Artist Merchandise

Drinks and artist merchandise are available for purchase within the Grandstand venue. Coolers are not permitted to be brought into the M&T Bank Grandstand.

Grandstand Entrances

M&T Bank Grandstand and Clubhouse ticket holders may enter the seating area through the main doors of the M&T Bank Grandstand. Stadium, Track and PIT ticket holders may enter the venue on the East side of the M&T Bank Grandstand. All patrons are subject to search. (Wheelchair patrons see “Accessible Seating.”)

Refunds

Tickets for Grandstand events are non-refundable. In the event of a show cancellation where M&T Bank Grandstand Tickets are refunded, Gate Admission tickets will not be refunded. Customers are not required to purchase Gate Admission at the time of purchasing Grandstand Event Tickets. Questions should be directed to the Delaware State Fair Box Office (302) 398-5020.

Reserved Seats

All paid M&T Bank Grandstand show seating is reserved, unless advertised as general admission. Seating consists of plaza seats.

Restrooms

Permanent restrooms are located inside the M&T Bank Grandstand (second floor), Murphy’s Sports Bar and at the base of the Stadium Seating entrance. Temporary restrooms are located left and right of the main stage. All restrooms are wheelchair accessible.

Secondary Ticket Market

Consumer Warning – The Delaware State Fair uses bar code scanning for Grandstand ticket admissions. As a result, fans should be careful when purchasing tickets and make certain the seller is a Delaware State Fair licensed ticketing agent. Etix is the ONLY authorized ticketing agent outside of the Delaware State Fair Box Office. If you purchase tickets from an unauthorized agent in the secondary market (scalper, ticket broker, eBay, Stubhub, Craigslist, etc.), you risk purchasing counterfeit or invalid tickets which may result in refusal of admission.

Sign Language Interpreters

Sign language interpreters are available upon request for all paid M&T Bank Grandstand shows with 14 days notice required. Please call (302) 398-5020 or email boxoffice@thestatefair.net to request an interpreter.

Smoking Policy

Smoking is not allowed in the M&T Bank Grandstand seating areas. Smoking is allowed outside the venue. Ask any usher for further direction.

Ticket

All patrons must be prepared to produce ticket at the request of State Fair personnel. Please retain tickets until the conclusion of the performance.

Who Needs a Ticket

Anyone entering the M&T Bank Grandstand must have a ticket regardless of age. Children must have a ticket and are not permitted to sit on an adults lap.

Will Call Information and Policies

Will Call is located at the base of the M&T Bank Grandstand. Will Call windows are open the entire day of the concert beginning at 10:00 am and will generally remain open until the start of the headliner’s performance. Will Call tickets will only be released to the person whose name appears on the Will Call envelope or whose name was provided in the sales transaction. No person will be given tickets designated for another person without prior authorization. Proper photo identification is required (valid driver’s license or passport) in order to claim your tickets. A signature from the person authorized to pick up the order will be obtained at the time tickets are claimed. Signatures will remain on file for future reference. Should a name change be necessary, please call the Delaware State Fair Box Office for further information at (302) 398-5020. We understand this is an exciting time for you and your child. For your child’s safety and others around them, it is important that your child does not sit on an adult’s shoulders, stand on their chair or stand in the aisle way. Purchasing Concert Tickets for the 2021 Delaware State Fair Summer Concert Series (Delayed Seat Assignments)

Being able to attend a concert or show in the M&T Bank Grandstand in July is an important part of the annual Delaware State Fair experience. With the initial appearance of the COVID-19 virus back in March, we had to make the tough decision to cancel all of the M&T Bank Grandstand shows for the 2020 Fair.

We are planning to offer a full lineup of entertainment in the M&T Bank Grandstand for the 2021 Fair. All the acts and artists have been booked and we are anxious to announce who they all are on Wednesday November 11th at 7:00PM on the Fair’s Facebook Live.

Tickets go on sale Friday November 20th at 12 Noon at www.delawarestatefair.com

These are challenging times as we carefully and safely navigate outside our homes.

Due to the uncertainty of what precise public health guidance will be in place in July 2021 and how that translates into where specific seats will be located in a yet to be determined socially distant concert seating configuration, the M&T Bank Grandstand ticket buying process will definitely be different this year. The biggest change will be the Fair’s need to implement “delayed seat assignments”. Here’s how this will all work:

1. When you initially buy your tickets, you will be specifying the quantity of tickets (maximum of 8/order) and the section or ticket location (pit, track, bleachers, grandstand and clubhouse). Ticket sections can be seen on the Grandstand Seating Chart.

2. Before checking out, you will be informed of the general location or section from which your specific seats will be assigned. While it might appear that you are purchasing a general admission ticket with no assigned seat, rest assured, we are holding the appropriate number of seats in or near that section. The assignment of the specific section, row and seat numbers will not happen until early July when we have a better idea of what group sizes and social distancing standards will be imposed by the DE Department of Public Health.

3. If you are planning to attend the show with other family members or friends and would like adjacent seats, all tickets must be part of your ticket order. We can only guaranty that the tickets purchased in a single order will be assigned adjacent seats. We cannot accommodate any requests to assign seats together that were part of separate orders.

4. Upon completion of your order, your credit card will be charged and a ticket order confirmation email will be sent to the email address provided at the time of purchase. If you do not receive your confirmation email, it is important to call (302.398.5020) or email (boxoffice@thestatefair.net) us and let us know so we can update your customer information. Emails from our ticketing system will be sent from confirmation@etix.com. At this stage, the sale is considered final so please make sure that the general location identified during the ticket purchasing process is acceptable to you. Since ALL TICKET SALES ARE FINAL, NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES will be given or offered. Once purchased, all ticket sales are final. Refunds will only be issued if a show has been cancelled by The Delaware State Fair.

5. On or before July 8, 2021 you will receive a second email from the Fair’s ticketing system (confirmation@etix.com). This email is very important and will notify you of your specific seat assignment (section, row and seat) and will contain a link for you to use to access your specific tickets. At that time, you will have the option of printing the tickets or saving them to your digital wallet. If you purchased gate admission passes or VIP parking for the night of the show, those tickets or passes will also be made available to you to print or upload to your digital wallet at that same time. Remember, your ticket purchase became final at the time of purchase. Your dissatisfaction regarding the specific assignment of section, row and seat numbers is not an acceptable basis for a refund or exchange.
