GUIDE TO WEARING FACE COVERINGS AT THE 2021 FAIR

Guidance effective as of March 8, 2021

 

A.  OUTSIDE

 

  1. A FACE COVERING MUST BE WORN BY EVERYONE 5 AND OLDER WHEN OUTSIDE AND:

    • Riding on all shuttles (parking and inside or on-grounds shuttles); or  

    • When processing through any Gate (main, Gate 2, Gate 3 and Gate 7). This includes all persons entering the gates on foot or in vehicles including patrons, exhibitors, shareholders, directors, vendors, volunteers and staff. If entering through Gate 2 or Gate 3 in a vehicle, the driver and all occupants 5 and older must be wearing a face covering. Entry to the grounds will be denied to any person 5 and older not wearing a face covering; or 

    • Masks are required to be worn upon entry, exit and when moving around the M&T Bank Grandstand in all sections. Attendees may remove their mask once in their purchased pod and must remain in the pod if mask is down.

    • When watching any outside entertainment performances from the adjacent performance seating areas (bleachers and/or benches) identified as: 

      • M&T Bank Grandstand Event Related Pit, Track, Stadium & Grandstand Ticketed Areas; and

      • Hertrich Plaza; and

      • Circus; and

      • Racing Pig Show; and

      • Camel Show; and

      • Dog Show; or  

    • When social distancing of at least 6’ distance cannot be maintained between you and other guests that are not part of your household.

B.  INSIDE

  1. GENERAL BUILDINGS: A FACE COVERING MUST BE WORN BY EVERYONE 5 AND OLDER WHEN INSIDE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING BUILDINGS OR STRUCTURED TENT:

    • Administration Office; and

    • Any restroom building; and

    • Centre Arena (4-H and FFA); and

    • Delaware Building; and

    • Department of Agriculture and Commodities Buildings; and

    • DNREC Building; and

    • Dover Building; and

    • Exhibit Hall; and

    • M&T Bank Grandstand Clubhouse Room; and

    • Market Place Tent.

  2.  ANIMAL RELATED BUILDINGS: A FACE COVERING MUST BE WORN BY EVERYONE (i.e. exhibitors, guests, patrons and viewing audience) 5 AND              OLDER WHEN INSIDE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING ANIMAL RELATED BUILDINGS:

  • Block Barns Nos. 72 – 78; and

  • Delmarva Building; and

  • Kent Barn; and

  • New Castle Building; and

  • Quillen Arena; and

  • Schabinger Pavilion; and

  • Simpson Barn; and

  • Sussex Barn.

 

*Any child enrolled in Kindergarten and up to eighteen (18) years of age shall wear a face covering following the rules and requirements for adult contained in the COVID-19 State of Emergency and its modifications except when doing so would inhibit the individual’s health. Parents and caregivers must supervise use of face covering by children to avoid misuse.
