Mooove on over to the Schabinger Pavilion to visit some of the Delaware State Fair’s livestock traditions! Cattle have been a part of the Fair since its debut. The show is on Tuesday, July 24 at 8am in the Quillen Arena.

Come watch the new and highly experienced showmen at the Delaware Junior Dairy Futurity—July 21 at 7:00 pm, the Junior Dairy Show—July 22 at 4:00 pm, and the Open Dairy Show—July 25, 6:00 pm. 
Meat Goats

Meat Goats

The New Castle Building is home to the goats. Come watch the Youth Showmanship, Fitting, & Market Goat Show on July 22 at 4:00pm and the Meat Goat Breed Show on July 26 at 8:00 am. 
Dairy Goats

Do you want to see what it takes to milk a goat? Stop by the New Castle Building on July 25 at 6:00pm for the Dairy Goat Milking Contest or on July 27, at 8:00am to see the Dairy Goat Show.

The Pygmy Goats are also housed in the New Castle Building and are shown on July 23 at 9:00am  
Swine

Swine

The Swine Department is located in the Kent Building, and displays some of Delaware’s top quality livestock. The Youth Swine Showmanship is July 21 at 4:00 pm, the Market Hog Show and Barrow Swine Show is July 22 at 8:00 am, and the Junior & Open Breed Swine Show is July 23 at 4:00 pm.
 
Horse & Pony

Horse & Pony

Come visit the horses and ponies in the Sussex and Horse Barns where they are housed during the fair! Exhibitors will compete at the Quillen Arena in many categories such as Halter & Showmanship Classes on July 22 at 9:00am, Saddle Performance Horse Show on July 23 at 9:00am, Pony & Miniature Horse Show on July 26 at 9:00am, and State 4-H Horse & Pony Show on July 27 at 9:00am.
 
Poultry

Poultry

The Poultry Department is one of the Fair’s oldest departments and is located across from the Centre Ice Rink. The Poultry Show is July 22 at 10:00am and the Youth Poultry Showmanship is July 27 at 3:00pm.

 
Rabbits

Rabbits

The Rabbit Department is located in the Poultry Building across from the Centre 4-H & FFA Building. The Rabbit Show will take place on Sunday, July 22 at 9:00 am.  
Sheep

Sheep

Don't forget to make time to visit with the sheep in in the Kent Building! Shows times are: Wool Lead Line Contest on July 22 at 6:30pm, Sheep Fitting & Showmanship July 24 at 9:00 pm, Junior Market Sheep Classes on July 24 at 9am, and the All Breed Sheep Show on July 25 at 9am.

Livestock Extravaganza

Do not miss out come watch the best of show! Raised by Delaware Youth, first and second place livestock compete to be the Grand and Reserve Champions in their species. This event takes place on Tuesday July 24, at 7:00pm in the Kent Building.

Livestock Auction

The Junior Livestock Auction will be held on Thursday, July 27 at 6:30pm. Participating exhibitors 21 and under, bring their prize animals to be auctioned and sold to buyers.

FFA Ag-Ventures

New this year, the FFA Ag-Ventures Tent will feature a duck dive, a corn crib, milking cow display and more!

Giraffe Menagerie Petting Zoo

Come meet and feed Twiggs the Giraffe! The Giraffe Menagerie Petting Zoo hosts a variety of exotic animals. Feed them, pet them, and even enjoy laughs from a talking bird! The Petting Zoo opens at 11am and closes at 11pm daily.

The famous chick display is a huge hit for all fair attendees and is housed in the Delmarva Building.

Antique Tractor Pull

The Antique Tractor Pull contest is an excellent exhibition of traditional agriculture turned competition!

Billy Ray Collison Memorial Horse Pull

See teams of horses, and we mean LARGE horses, and their drivers compete to pull thousands of pounds the farthest distance.

Pretty Animal Contest

Junior exhibitors dress up their animals and compete to see who has the prettiest animals and best themes! This event will take place on Friday, July 27 in the Quillen Arena.
