inclusion AT THE FAIR
A WELCOMING PLACE FOR ALL
The Delaware State Fair, with the help of KultureCity, is committed to creating an inclusive, accessible environment for guests with sensory sensitivities—such as autism, PTSD, or other invisible disabilities. We understand that the lights, noises, and crowds at a fair can be overwhelming, and we’re working hard to offer supports that make everyone’s experience more comfortable and enjoyable.
SENSORY ACTIVATION VEHICLE - SAV
SAV HOURS: 10AM – 10PM
The Delaware State Fair is introducing a unique activation designed to provide a quiet, safe, and secure space for individuals with sensory processing sensitivities who may feel overwhelmed while attending the Fair.
The SAV is a mobile sensory-friendly AND soundproof unit offering critical support and respite through the use of calming aids, and a comforting environment.
When you step inside of the SAV you will find comfy bean bags, visual light panels, wall activity panels and most importantly, a piece of mind … knowing you have a space to decompress before returning back to the fair.
